Tanel, PLUSTRACE role was already granted to CTI. it's the SAME user "CTI". i tried it on a different machine.that's it. when i upgraded oracle client 9.2.0.2 to 9.2.0.3, it worked fine and i was able to get the statistics. So,is this a bug or ? BTW,did

Are you actually getting the statistics back when you run a sql statement now? Normaly one had to run $ORACLE_HOME/sqlplus/admin/plustrce.sql to get a role named PLUSTRACE, which should have been granted to users doing sql tracing with statistics. The role has only following
