Waleed, have you tried this yourself in 9i? I have. And I have the logs to
prove it. The only difference between the two database creates was that one
was connected as "/" while the other was "sys", each while executing
catalog, catproc, and catexp immediately following a "CREATE DATABASE" . I
I do not see a difference between connecting / as sysdba or sys as sysdba
the final result is connecting as SYS.
I do not think this has anything to do with the errors you had.
