What is the undocumented (unsupported) parameter
which allows/forces Oracle to ignore the state
of the redo logfiles open up anyways?

Well.. IMHO I wouldn't do this unless this is a test
DB. Having said that, this might be the info you are
looking for...
_allow_resetlogs_corruption allow resetlogs
even if it will cause corruption
