LOB is not a datatype it self. LOB = Long Object.
Oracle provides 2 kind of LOBs. CLOB and BLOB
If U want to store Binary data, eg pdf files, movies,
sound files, etc, use BLOB(Binary long Object).
For other U can use CLOB.
