Need Suggestion for RMAN

Dear List, I need some suggestions for RMAN. For a quite sometime I have seen numerous mails regarding RMAN. We have 2 Production Databases located at different sites. We use RMAN to backup the databases. Daily incremental backups(Archivelogs, ControlFiles,parameter files, password file)

venkat, if you run in nocatalog mode, there are many things that you cannot do as compared to catalog mode. refer to the initial lists of the Oracle RMAN USer's Guide .. and it explicitly lists *all* the things that you cannot do if you are running rman in nocatalog mode so basically, you run in
