Hi Patrice, We usually find that a pretty acceptable monitoring period (for background alerting etc.) is around a minute for most "collections" anyway. This of course depends on the stats you are collecting as well though (if monitoring for "space bound" objects you don't want to set this off every minute in an SAP environment for example..). Most session/SGA/system stats can be collected on a 60 second basis, and still allow enough historical/diagnostic info to get to the bottom of problems.
