I am
using Rman on NT and it works just fine. We are using it with EDM media
manager, writing to external tape units. Everything works as
expected. Kinda slow at times, but my gut feeling is that this is
network/tape unit contention.

was written using RMAN on NT and RMAN on UNIX.
I had
no problems using RMAN on NT at all. Of course, there are a number of MML
vendors out there and I only used
one,
so I can't speak for the effectiveness of the others.

Ron,
I've
been using RMAN on Windows 2000. I do my backups to disk so I don't have
to deal with third party tape software. Each time I have tested a recovery
it seems to work fine. I am 8.1.7.2, W2K sp2
