STARUP FORCE - Issue a shutdown abort and then try to immediately restart the
database.
STARTUP RESTRICT - Open the database and only allow access to users with the
RESTRICTED SESSION role.
STARTUP MOUNT - Mounts the database, but doesn't open it for use.
STARTUP NOMOUNT - Does not mount th
See your alertSID.log file for recovery message. By default recovery is
automatic.

Instance recovery, not database recovery, occurs after a shutdown abort or
other abnormal instance termination. No DBA intervention is required;
Oracle takes care of it automatically.

No Manual recovery is required in this case. Oracles background process takes care of this and rolls back any uncommited transaction. You can read about this any beginners oracle book which talks about oracle's architecture.
