the table to make it fit into available free space. Oracle will calculate the
next extent size based on both new value of 'pctincrease= 0' and current
value of 'next extent' which is still 520 MB and there's no chunk that big. I

init can change you among levels... while shutdown no!
and... shutdown cannot take you into levels 2 and 3.

Yes, there are compatibility issues. ActiveState does not keep their
DBD::oracle up to date. The second hand reason I've been given
is the believe there are some licensing issues, but as the Oracle libs
are not linked in, I don't know what they mean.

At my location I was not finding those tables without rows so simple
truncate was not the easy option. However, from time to time I was
truncating them by removing rows into temp type of tables and placing those
rows back. However, index rebuilding was more practical under that
