*.NET DeveloperWashington,DC6+ Months Contract*

*Job Responsibilities:*

Familiarity with the full “life cycle” and possess the ability to turn
requirements into code.
Works closely with others to design new products and solve existing
challenges.
Identifies and evaluates various software platforms based on business
requirements.
Rapidly troubleshoots service outages using experience and other available
resources.
Maintains up-to-date detailed documentation.
Keeps abreast of trends in applications, software, and database
technologies and/or platforms and continues to enhance knowledge and
expertise.
Effectively communicates technical information to Engineering and Network
Operations staff.
Provides limited non-working hours emergency support duty.  This includes
responding to emergency requests, determining severity and solving the
problem as best as possible.
Performs other duties as assigned.

*Required Qualifications:*

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related
discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Five years experience in software development, with progressive
responsibilities involving interactive software and relational database
design, implementation, and maintenance.
Experience in using Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010, T-SQL, TFS, and BI tools.
Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency with developing web applications
in .Net, C#, VB, ASP, as well as an advanced knowledge of     web-related
technologies, e.g. HTML, SSL, DHTML, XML, CSS/Javascript, and IIS.
Demonstrated knowledge of Agile development methodology.
Expertise with databases, primarily MS SQL based.
Demonstrated ability to master any programming domain.
Expert level understanding of web technologies with an emphasis on data
security.
Experience with software engineering best practices (code reviews, unit
testing, design docs, etc.).
Strong customer focus, effective interpersonal and communication, written
and verbal, skills with the ability to effectively exchange information and
deal diplomatically with others.
Strong analytical and judgment skills, with the ability to understand and
translate user needs into defined requirements and solutions.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Ability to work evenings and weekends, when required.

*Other Important Information:*

This position operates under moderate supervision and works from
established standards, plans and procedures.
The work environment is one that requires customer focus and proactive
responses to users in order to address needs and provide quick resolution
to issues/problems.
