Job Description:
A Business Analyst with deep experience in business intelligence (BI) in
our enterprise data management efforts.
The Institute is one of the nation's top research universities,
distinguished by a commitment to improving the human condition through
advanced science and technology.
BI business analyst to augment our current capacity and capability. This
individual would also be an excellent team player with the ability to coach
and mentor our existing staff. Major responsibilities include:
Document functional requirements, business rules, and technical
requirements for EDM (BI) projects;
Assist with logistics in data governance processes; and
Provide expertise in business analysis processes and tools going forward.
Skills/Qualifications:
Able to solicit and gather functional requirements and work with technical
team to discern technical requirements
Able to mock up reports
Able to create reports using a variety of reporting tools to include
Business Objects, Cognos, SQL, etc.
Experience in creating data dictionaries
Experience in SharePoint and other Microsoft tools
Understanding of project management practices.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Project, AtTask, or other project
management software.
