Title: Electrical Powertrain System Test Engineer Duration: 6 Months Location: Columbus, OH 4 year degree and minimum 5 years related experience working with automotive ECU’s Required Experience: · Knowledge of wire soldering , using a multi-meter , reading an electrical schematic · Able to use Microsoft excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes Beneficial Experience (not required) · Past experience in using engine calibration tools · Knowledge of C coding language · Ability to create Excel Macros using VBA Job Description: · Test Electrical powertrain systems according to test manual · Collect software specifications from multiple groups and merge into a master file to be provided to the powertrain system supplier · Check software specification for missing components · Collect calibration data from the multiple groups and merge into a master file · Update a software database with the latest specifications and calibrations from the multiple groups · Update powertrain software on test vehicles · Build wire harnesses according to schematic · Perform basic electrical troubleshooting *Requirements: * · 0-10 years of automotive testing experience. Tire performance testing is preferred but not required. · Must be able to create comprehensive test reports & manage a detailed work schedule for multiple simultaneous activities. · BSME, BSMET or equivalent engineering degree.
