(1) 5+ years of professional software development experience.
(2) 3+ years of experience with either Objective-C, Objective C++, or Swift.
(3) 2+ years of experience developing on mobile platforms (preferably iOS).
· Client is seeking a software developer to build and maintain video
player technology frameworks on iOS.
· He/she will supplement a small-dedicated team of developers and
will work closely with technical leads to maintain and extend a custom
video player framework for iOS.
· The Software Developer will collaborate with product development
on proof of concepts, demos, and prototypes.
· In addition, he/she will work with various technical teams and
vendors.
· He/she may need to demonstrate working prototypes and designs to
other team members.
· The Software Developer must document designs clearly and
efficiently.
· The ideal candidate must have solid knowledge of the Software
Development Life Cycle, and knowledge of IOS foundational libraries.
· He/she must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and
deliver high-quality and defect-free code for projects throughout the year
that have fixed deadlines.
*Qualifications: *
*Required:*
•5+ years of professional software development experience.
•3+ years of experience with either Objective-C, Objective C++, or Swift.
•2+ years of experience developing on mobile platforms (preferably iOS).
•Excellent troubleshooting skills.
•Strong technical knowledge especially in emerging technologies/platforms.
•Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and fundamentals of
computer science.
•B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree .
•Ability to master new technologies quickly.
•Willingness to work in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
*Nice to have:*
•Client-side technologies (HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS).
•Experience in video and video playback technologies.
•Familiar with Agile development methodologies.
•Working knowledge of HTML5 video standards a plus.
•Knowledge of HLS, WebVTT, MP4, various video encoding and security
technologies a plus.
