Seeking a seasoned Software Developer Lead to join its APS Product Delivery
team. The developer analyzes, estimates, designs, and develops stand-alone
custom solutions. This position is responsible for all phases of the
project life cycle. This role will work closely with Product Marketing,
DaaS Solution Consultants, Project Management and peer developers to
address technical design and code delivery for APS solutions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interact with DaaS consultants to understand business requirements and
design technical solutions
• Develop solutions in support of APS custom solutions and APS
infrastructure.
• Eventually drive architectural direction and selection of new technology
• Develop JCL and scripts for batch processes
• Perform technical design, develop new programs, modify existing programs,
and prepare functional specifications documents
• Analyze program performance during execution using C, C++, XML and COBOL.
• Responsible for writing unit tests and performing integration tests
• Develops decisioning strategies in DA Strategy Manager
• Responsible for troubleshooting and debugging application issues
• Offers technical support for internal and external customers for
application/system related issues Provide on-call after hours support
• Maintain cutting edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies,
industry trends and standards
Education & Experience
• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or
related discipline.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• 10+ year hands-on development experience implementing web solutions that
is portable, robust, scalable and secure.
• Strong working knowledge of C and C++ development
• Experience working on IBM z/OS MVS based platforms and within CICS
• Working knowledge of server side development using Linux scripting
• Experience with DB2 and SQL
• Demonstrated knowledge of established development processes, software
testing and documentation
• Ability to comprehend detailed project specifications as well as the
ability to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on
multiple projects
• Solid analytical and problem solving skills
