Mainframe Application Systems Administrator - with a focus in DB2 and CICS.
The Department of Administration is in need of services to perform
evaluations and installations of new software releases, system upgrades, &

patches with the ability to resolves software related problems in the
department's existing mainframe environment. The specific areas needing
coverage include DB2, CICS, and the peripheral applications (like
DB2Connect,

EZ-DB2, Omegamon, Smarttest, AssistTS, CEDA, CICS Explorer, etc.) that
compliment. The service provider will need to perform system backups and
recovery, maintain & monitor data files and system configurations to

ensure integrity.
We are looking for those System Administrators that have at least 5 years
experience in a large environment working with application developers and
knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures

within the Db2 and CICS fields. The service provider will also need to rely
on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a
variety of complicated tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is
expected

with this work.
