*Role : **Oracle/Sybase DBA* *Location : **San Antonio, TX* *Duration : 6+ Months* *Note: **Sybase administration is a MUST* *Description:* · At least 5 years of experience in creating requirement specifications based on Architecture/Design /Detailing of Processes · At least 5 years of experience in Database(*Oracle/SYBASE*) Administration Skills · Work in a *24x7 operations* model in a Global Delivery Model · Owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs, reviewing service related reports (e.g: database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs, responding to database related alerts and escalations and working with database engineering to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems. · Works closely with Application DBA team to ensure alignment of data management initiatives · Maintains security including creation of user files, user access administration (i.e. database grants) and monitors and reports security · Evaluates and implements new software versions to maintain optimal delivery levels. Maintains relations with vendor support to ensure quick response to problems . Performs capacity planning and projects growth of disc space usage and server capacity · Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
