Work directly with the global Data Protection lead and establish operating mechanism for weekly communication, strategy, and problem & resolution management. Provide operational project level management in the planning, design, and implementation for hardware/software lease refreshes and migrations of complex data protection systems. Initiate direct and global communication with a wide range of client, supplier, regulatory, application, architectural, and systems personnel. Ensure conformance to established system architecture, methods, regulations, standards and practices and participate in their creation. Participate in long range planning and assure consistency with business objectives for resiliency, disaster tolerance, and regulatory compliance. Help set the vision for the organization and help define projects to achieve that vision. Pre-plan and co-ordinate Disaster recovery plans, exercises, and evaluate and document plan exercise results. Develop processes to maintain the currency of continuity and compliance capabilities and the plan document in accordance with the organization’s strategic direction. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years administration experience with HP-UX and Solaris Operating Systems. Minimum of 2 years administration experience with Veritas Netbackup Proven interpersonal, written/verbal communication, organizational and leadership skills. Ability to maintain leading edge skills in a rapidly changing environment Eligibility Requirements: BS/BAA in Computer Science or related field Minimum of 5 years experience with server or storage technologies Must be able to travel throughout Europe and to the United States Extensive working experience with Veritas Netbackup, HP Omiback, Working experience with Oracle, SAP, Veritas File System, Volume Manager and DB Edition Architecture and installation experience with Sun/StorageTek tape libraries and EMC Centera Gxp, FDA, Sarbanes-Oxley, NHS and other regulatory compliance experience Experience working in ASP or PACS data Centers Proven Project Management experience *Title: NAS Administrator* *Rate: $45/hr * NAS Administrator Hours of Operation: Primarily First Shift; Off-hours as needed. Job Description: Design, implement, and administer Global NAS storage solutions across multiple heterogeneous environments in enterprise data centers. Interface with the server technology groups and design leads to help translate business requirements and technology standards to workable designs and solutions. Job Responsibilities: Develop and implement hardware and software solutions that enhance or extend the enterprise NAS infrastructures based on design requirements. Help to develop and maintain the release schedule ensuring that all hardware and software in the NAS infrastructures are on current versions and patch levels. Participate in evaluating emerging technologies in the areas of networked access storage, storage subsystems and the associated strategic roadmap, ensuring that current and planned technical solutions are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives. Assist in the migration and swap-out of expiring Network Appliance NAS hardware. Perform technical troubleshooting to solve complex technical problems.
