*Positions: Network Architect Location: Cumberland, RI/ Scottsdale, AZ/ Newark, NJ Duration: 12+ months* *candidates will have to take f2f/ WebEx interview* *Job Responsibilities * · Architecture, Design and Governance of all layer 2 and 3 network models, Application Delivery and major backbones (including Points of Presence, topology, routing, and demarcation) · Analysis and benchmarking of carrier services and resulting design revisions (e.g. to support MPLS) · Maintaining the external relationships with the chosen application profiling service partner as well as with all hardware vendors on new technologies, requirements and case tracking. · Collaboration with Global Sourcing regarding purchasing of new products and services. · Completion of dbRACE process for new products. · Convergence planning and design (e.g. Voice over IP, Video over IP, Fibre Channel over IP) and application profiling - selection of toolset, basic application profiling service (on a best-effort basis) · Assign network control network analyst resources to satisfy routine end user requests. · Act as project lead to orchestrate and influence team efforts and contribution to the project objective. · Lead and coordinate resolution on problems impacting internal or external customers as assigned. · Assign network staff to be primary on-the-job trainer to associates and interns. · Critically review submitted designs for accuracy and effectiveness of other senior or network analysts. · Lead the resolution efforts of others to maintain high network availability. · Evaluate and make changes as appropriate to proposed network designs with respect to ease of installation, support and recoverability. · Guide network analysts in the review and development of the framework for network bids. · Develop or assign for development specific network bids based on project specifications and timeframes. · Coordinate and ensure the proper inspection and validation of network contractor's work in delivering network infrastructure or systems to ensure strict compliance to standards and specified design. · Review and validate as needed, the designs and implementation plans for local area network and cable distribution infrastructure to meet stated business needs. · Evaluate, review and if appropriate, implement recommendations for improvements to existing network procedures and documentation for efficient and cost effective delivery of highly available network services. · Provide technical advice on major projects to ensure continued delivery of high performance data networks. · Critically evaluate the effectiveness of network and equipment provisioning processes to meet project needs and if not, recommend and coordinate to improvements. · Assimilate, document and provide weekly updates of all project level and any significant activities for the Network Control group or other projects that are assigned. * MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:* · A teammate in this position must have: · Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field · Network architect/ design/security experience for minimum 3 years · Experience working with Cisco LAN, WAN and network management products. Nexus switches and F5 load balancers is must · Network / Application / Web security and design is must · Reverse routing / Reverse DNS experience is must · Experience in troubleshooting complex data center environments including OTV, VPC, and HSRP support.
