Reports To: Assistant Director Infrastructure

Location: Astellas Northbrook IL location
Purpose & Scope: The Project Manager role is a position which requires
technical expertise along with fundamental PM skills to drive successful
completion of the Infrastructure tower

migration in the Global Outsourcing Transition and Transformation project.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Skill Requirements:
Technical
* Experience with infrastructure and process transformation for global
projects.
* Broad knowledge of the Information Technology industry
* Project manager for large transition projects working with system
operations & off-shore resources
* IP Network Bridging across WAN
* Remote Access Systems, Load Balancing Services, WAN Acceleration and Web
Traffic Filtering
* Solid Knowledge of NOC/SOC functionality
* Global Service Desk transition and Knowledge Transfer experience
* Incident, Problem and Change Management
* Understanding of End User Services including PC Imaging and
* Large Scale PC Refresh Processes and Rollout experience (3000+ devices)
* Computer System Validation in Regulated Industries

Additional experience with the following areas is a plus but not the focus
of this role
* Experience with either data center migrations and outsourcing transition
* Basic technical knowledge of key disciplines (database, Citrix, VM, UNIX,
DNS, TCP/IP, etc.)
* Understanding of Data Center LAN/WAN network operations
* Fundamentals of DC migration approaches (physical and virtual migrations)

Management / Leadership
* Experience in large global/multi-country projects
* Experience managing matrixed teams
* Experience managing onshore/offshore resources
* Extended experience with virtual and remote teams
* Proven ability to drive successful results
* Ability to actively identify risks/issues/action items and monitor/report
on each daily/weekly.
* Risk / Issues Management, Resource Management, Vendor Management, Demand
Management
* Strong organizational and team leadership skills
* Ability to implement project change control and governance to manage
scope and plan.
* Project Planning & Development
* Project responsibilities include financial management and forecast,
customer facing relationship handling, status reports and execution plan
forecasts to the to the upper

management
* Must be experiencing in using Project Management tools (like MS Project
and Visio)- for understanding tasks, calendars, dependencies, work-types,
resource loading, base lining
