*Title: Database Architect / Senior Data Modeler Duration: 3- 6 months Location: Boston, MA* *Experience*: · Degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science or another quantitative discipline. · *Exceptional experience in object-oriented programming, data structures, data modeling, and data architecture as well as algorithm development and tuning* · *Demonstrated ability to understand and draw conclusions from underlying datasets resulting in recommendations of future actions* · Experience with web analytics tools (Omniture, Google) · Knowledge of Hadoop or software frameworks (MapReduce) is a nice to have *Develop and manage the data model for an online publishing platform with an integrated mobile application* *Job Summary*: As our data leader and chief expert, you will be expected to work collaboratively with marketing, content, and technology team members, offering the team your expertise in data analysis, modeling, architecture, and algorithm design and optimization. The data will be presented in both mobile and web formats and the data research and design will include multiple disparate , large, structured and unstructured data sets that require organization so to provide a good consumer and business experience. Effective usage of meta-data and indexes must be best-in-class and the analysis of recommendations and tuning of data models and algorithms on a constant basis must be available with ease for key business partners, both internal and external. *Responsibilities:* · * Develop and manage the data model for an online publishing platform with an integrated mobile application* · Develop a canonical tag set for cross-indexing a database of published content (audio files, video, images, text, author ID, etc), · Develop and implement a methodology for data collection and continuous quality improvement (tuning) via any and all methods of data collection -- scraping, farming and gathering data from open and closed sources as well as APIs to refine continuously the quality of the data in the database · * Integrate feeds from Mobile apps, social media and content partners, and monitor consumer* usage patterns to produce user taste profiles · Developing and tuning algorithm for ranking content according to certain key criteria and then indexing and managing the content so as to filter results according to relevancy Best Regards * * *Venkat* Aclat Inc. 5 E.
