Job Title: Mainframe QA Analyst Location: Washington DC Duration: 12+Months *MUST BE LOCAL FACE TO FACE REQUIRED.* Our Client is seeking a QA Analyst with 5+ Years of experience. As part of our team, the QA analyst will be performing the quality assurance activities for Tax system, core financial system and other related applications. The QA Analyst will become fully familiar with all the functional requirements of all the applications and will be responsible for planning, writing, and executing QA and QC plans and test cases for the mainframe based applications as well as other web based applications. Responsibilities include. Fully understand the internal and external software processes. Design test plans, review functional requirement documentation and present test cases for project team review. Submit, regress, and verify defects Test database interactions at both the end user and backend levels. Work with development engineers to create scripts to facilitate ad hoc testing as well as provide valuable input on creating more sophisticated, cross platform, QA tools which will assist the manual test process. Candidate should be proactive and able to exercise flexibility and multitask in a high stress environment. Required Skills: Experience in QA and QC Methodologies: 5 Years of Experience. Demonstrate ability to design and execute test plans by attending technical/functional requirements reviews for complex software applications: 5 Years of Experience. Strong analytical skills and experience with QA metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria: 5 Years of Experience. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across matrix organizations in a fast paced and schedule driven environment: 4 Years of Experience. Current Hands on Mainframe testing experience in JCL, CICS, Batch environment: 3 Years of Experience. Experience in Internet/Web related applications: 3 Years of Experience. Experience in databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL): 2 Years of Experience. Client / Server based application testing: 2 Years of Experience. Experience in backed/black box testing: 5 Years of Experience. Desired Skills: Expertise with Quality Center testing tool in building requirements and test case repositories : 2 Years of Experience. Effectively use bug tracking tools such as Quality Center, Track+ : 2 Years of Experience. Performance and Capacity Testing : 1 Years of Experience. *Regards* *Mahesh.
