Knowledge of database manager and database configuration parameters. Knowledge of backup and recovery processes. Knowledge of DB2 and O.S. monitoring tools, troubleshooting the database for slower performance. Knowledge of DB2 security features. Knowledge of Unix scripting, Unix tools like VI editor and common Unix commands e.g. grep, more, cat, ps Knowledge of DB2 utilities, tuning parameters, query tuning and tools used.
