*Job Title: DataStage/InfoSphere Administrator* *Job Location: Greensboro, NC* *Industry: Insurance (Fortune 500)* *Location: 5 Months Contract + Extension upon performance* *NEED 8+ PROFILE* *Job Description:-* · Provide infrastructure engineering, support and administration of the 9.1 and 11.3 DataStage environments. · This includes setting up and testing new installations of DataStage, IDA, Business Glossary, Quality Stage and Information analyzer. Engineer and Install/upgrade Information Server product suite. · Post install Configuration, various data sources configuration for the plug-ins, connectors as well as ODBC configurations. · Document Run-books for the installs, Disaster Recovery plans etc... · Stop/start services, monitor logs, setting up Security, assigning roles, project permissions, Create/Delete projects, create/modify environmental parameters etc. · Monitor the InfoSphere suite (Data Stage/Quality Stage) servers. · Kill/assist release job locks, shared memory locks, hung processes etc... · Apply fixes, patches and service packs as required. · Ensure infrastructure and application stability through preventative maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing long term solutions Capacity planning for new projects in the shared environment. · Liaises with product vendors and technical specialists to resolve issues. · Support and troubleshoot production incidents/problems, optimizing performance. Provide technical expertise and development support for the ETL development team. · Good understanding of ETL and Data Quality · Best Practices in design and implementation. *Skills Required: * · Knowledge in the ETL concepts, OS, data-warehousing and underlying infrastructure. *Required:-* · 6 +years of experience with Info-Sphere · 4-6 years’ Experience in installing and administering IBM Info-sphere Information Server product suite. Experience with relational databases(SQL Server, Teradata, DB2, Oracle). · Experience with Knowledge of Information Server Architecture (SMP, MPP, different tiers etc...) Knowledge of AIX and WebSphere Application Servers. Experience *Preferred: * · Good communications skills. · Familiarity with connecting Data-Stage with Hadoop. *Education Required: * B.S.
