Mainframe Application Systems Administrator - with a focus in DB2 and CICS.
The Department of Administration is in need of services to perform
evaluations and installations of new software releases, system upgrades, &
patches with the ability to resolves software related problems in the
department's existing mainframe environment. The specific areas needing
coverage include DB2, CICS, and the peripheral applications (like
DB2Connect, EZ-DB2, Omegamon, Smarttest, AssistTS, CEDA, CICS Explorer,
etc.) that compliment. The service provider will need to perform system
backups and recovery, maintain & monitor data files and system
configurations to ensure integrity.
We are looking for those System Administrators that have at least 5 years
experience in a large environment working with application developers and
knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the
Db2 and CICS fields. The service provider will also need to rely on
experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety
of complicated tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected with
this work.

This request is for development staff to maintain and enhance mainframe and
.NET applications pertaining to the Wisconsin Works, Wisconsin Shares and
Benefit Recovery programs within DCF. Project duties will also include
implementation activities such as testing and quality assurance, and
development of user documentation, training materials and help screens.
