*Job Title* SQL Server DBA *Project Location* New York/Nyc *Duration* 6 months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI :- Telephonic + Face to Face* *SQL Server DBA – SSAS, SSIS, SSRS – Healthcare IT * Position Summary: This is an MS SQL server DBA position in corporate SQL Operations and Engineering group. Some of the primary responsibilities of this role include fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs, reviewing logs and reports for proactive management, responding to database related alerts and escalations, and working with application owners to find solutions to recurring problems. This individual will also take part in implementing new systems and technologies, as well as in periodic hardware refreshes and software version upgrades of corporate SQL infrastructure environment. This role requires good communication skills. Position Requirements: · Experience with Administration of MS SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012 suite (including Analysis, Integration and Reporting Services). · Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database, server and client problems. · Experience with database indexes, index management, and statistics. · Experience diagnosing SQL server performance issues and bottlenecks. · Experience with MS clustering services, MS Windows Server OS, Active Directory, SPNs, ACLs, and proper disk configurations. · Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server. · Experience with database backups, restores and recovery models. · Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts. · Good knowledge of database and server security and auditing. · Good written and communication skills.
