*Position:- Linux Engineer* *Location:- Lakewood, CO * *Duration:- 6 Months* *MOI:- Telephonic + Skype* *Need Only USC, GC * *Job Responsibilities:* · Responsibilities include maintenance of hardware/software configurations for Red Hat Linux/CentOS/Solaris enterprise systems. · Ability to generate, install, implement and maintain system-level software packages such as OS, Clustering, disk and file management, backup, web applications, DNS, programming languages such as c, Perl, shell and secure shell. · Develop, install and maintain utility Programs/shell scripts used to manage application start, stop, end-of-day, monitoring and failure/recovery. · Provide automated solutions. Experience with OS Config management tools such as Puppet. · Provide technical assistance to development for hardware/software selection, support personnel for system repair and operations personnel for problem management. · Strong understanding of KVM. · Design/Build/Administer servers through KVM and/or VMware ESX. Implement automated solutions and policies to reduce administrative efforts. Monitor utilization, capacity growth and performance · across several sites. · Work with Network, SAN and backup teams effectively in building and maintaining · Open Systems environment. · Evaluate new technology and tools to identify cost efficient solutions to the management and operation of computer systems. · Work closely with program management team to define project requirements, assist with project coordination, evaluate hardware requirements and recommend computing solution. · Support all aspects of project life cycle through ITIL based Configuration, Change, Service, Incident and · Problem management. Support operational, failure/recovery and performance testing in both the test and production environments. *Required Skills:* · 4 years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer using CentOS/Redhat. · 4 years of experience working with Unix/Linux as Systems Engineer. · 2 years of experience as a VMware/KVM Engineer. · Experience working with OS management tool such as Puppet, Spacewalk, Yum. · 2 years of experience with TCP/IP networking · 4 years System Administration experience in a 24x7-production environment dealing with 500+ servers · Strong understanding of system security. *Preferred Skills:* · RedHat Certification · VMware Certification · Network Analysis and troubleshooting · Working knowledge with AWS · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
