*Purpose of Division:*
Information Technology and Services (IT&S) is responsible for planning,
design, implementation, and support of NeighborWorks’ enterprise wide
business applications and management of information technology resources
and services. IT&S provides business applications and supporting services
to identify, gather and efficiently organize the data that is required to
support the business activities of NeighborWorks America (NWA) and its
affiliated NeighborWorks Organizations. NeighborWorks America undertakes
several major capital budget IT project initiatives in order to meet NWA’s
current and future mission, goals, objectives and ongoing business
requirements.

*Position Summary:*
This Salesforce Developer position reports to the Director of Enterprise BI
& Client Solutions and will be responsible for the overall analysis,
architecture, design, implementation and support of solutions in
Salesforce.com environment. This requires the ability to develop and
support applications using Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud,
Community, Visual Force, Chatter and the Force.com platform. As a
Salesforce Developer, you will interface with business and IT resources to
ensure timely and effective delivery of Salesforce solutions for the
business requirements. The ideal candidate is a diligent, hardworking
individual who is able to learn new systems and processes rapidly, can work
with little supervision and is capable of delivering outstanding work at
all times. The Salesforce Developer develops, configures, codes, tests, and
debugs complex new software, enhancements to existing proprietary software
or purchased software packages. In conjunction with functional users and IT
Business Applications personnel, the Salesforce Developer assists with the
design and documentation of the Company’s application software environment,
and is responsible for contributing to application development projects of
medium to high complexity.


*Essential Duties/Responsibilities:*•Performs technical analysis, design,
configuration, and implementation support for system integrations and
Salesforce customizations. Conceptualizes, prepares and creates detailed
technical specifications from which complex programs will be written or
configured.
•Develops solutions using Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud
and Visual Force. Complies with all required Company policies and practices
relating to the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
•Develops custom applications and perform testing using Salesforce.com APEX
and Visualforce pages. Writes, tests, analyzes, and implements high quality
code according to specifications. Follows Salesforce.com’s best practices
and guidelines in implementing solutions.
•Understands and leverage the Salesforce provided APIs and components of
Salesforce AppExchange for developing custom objects.
•Creates reports and dashboards using Salesforce to meet the reporting and
analytical
requirements of the business users.
•Provides Tier II Support for Salesforce applications and manage service
tickets needing
escalation to Salesforce.
•Communicates and collaborates with other technical resources and
stakeholders regarding
status, technical issues and creative solutions.
•Builds client trust and respect, establish client relationships, and
develop rapport with
client. Maintains and builds strong vendor relationships to resolve
problems and coordinate
the delivery of IT products and services.
•Researches and keep current on force.com technologies and communicates
trends and
future needs from a business perspective
•Supports Salesforce.com configuration tasks such as field/page updates,
workflows,
automated approvals


*Nature of Work Contacts:*•This position interfaces with the Business
Process SMEs from the business units and leadership team within IT&S as well
as sponsoring business units and external IT Salesforce support vendor.

*Fiscal Responsibilities:*
•This position will have responsibilities to complete project or
application specific deliverables on-time and within budget for
the assigned projects and programs.

*Required Minimum Qualifications:*
*(a) Education:* A bachelor’s degree in computer science/information
systems, finance, business management or related
field is required.

*(b) Experience:*
•3+ years of proven experience as a Salesforce.com developer using
Visualforce, APEX programming, Force.com,
APIs
•3+ years of IT programing experience, ASP.NET C# or VB.net
•Proficiency in programming using Force.com APEX, Visual Force, Java,
JavaScript, XML, HTML5 and the use of
these tools with Salesforce.com
•Familiarity with Salesforce.com best practices, support mechanisms,
procedures and limitations is required
•Experience with management of Salesfore.com sandboxes, including their
integrations
•Ability to analyze complex systems, and troubleshoot and isolate system
issues.
•Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented
tasks
•Ability to influence at all levels of the organization
•Ability to work independently as well as work in a team environment
•Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
•Exceptional customer service skills.

*(c) Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills & Abilities:*
•Have a thorough understanding of the Salesforce platform and be able to
interact with business users to
understand requirements in order to translate them into design
specifications.
•Salesforce/Visualforce development expertise.
•Salesforce administration, release management and deployment expertise.
•Excellent knowledge of Salesforce products and licensing models.
•Knowledge and experience with integrating third-party marketplace modules
•Fluent in Microsoft SQL Server databases
•Strong analysis and troubleshooting ability and attention to detail.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to
share ideas both with the business and
internal IT teams

*(d) Technology:*
•Salesforce Development/Customizations (API, APEX, Visual Force, Workflows)
•Force.com, Visualforce, Service, Sales, Marketing Cloud, Community, Chatter
•JavaScript, XML, JSON, FTP, SOAP, REST Web Services. JQuery, JQuery
Mobile, HTML5, CSS, Mobile Application Platforms (iOS / Android), API
Customer SF.com Web Services, experience integrating SF.com with
middleware, and experience using automated web browser testing tool.
•Experience with relational databases and data warehouse concepts and
relational database technologies.
