Job Description

*Title:*  *Diesel Aftertreatment Sensor Software(SW) Engineer*


*detroit michigan*



This role is responsible for Design, Development, Testing, Trouble-shooting
and calibration support of Aftertreatment sensor software. Candidate should
have sound knowledge, and SW development experience, in Diesel
Aftertreatment system, software, diagnostics and global regulations.



*Tasks:*

·         Define, implement and test., Control, Diagnostics, Service and
Regulatory software(SW) requirements for Diesel_Aftertreatment(DAT) sensors.

·         Trouble-shoot, controls and diagnostics, issues related to DAT SW.

·         Develop prototype SW using ATI No-Hooks Simulink block sets.

·         Provide SW/Calibration methodology support to the calibration
team.

·         Support all SW related issues related to Particulate
Measurement(PM), NOx, O2 and Urea Quality sensors; and Urea injection
system.

·         Define, develop and trouble-shoot CAN related software.

·         Manage SW requirements, and delivery, using Ford internal
processes such as etracker, FDEC tracker, and other requirement tracking
tools.

·         Deliver and manage SW, using SW development tools like Accurev,
Rally, Clearcase and Jenkins

·         Develop and implement SW test plans for new features, using HIL
and Vehicle testing methods.

·         Support sub-system design and development meetings.

·         Support any Powertrain(non-DAT) SW related investigation on a
need basis.

·         Knowledge and experience using SW robustness tools like, Boundary
Diagrams, P-Diagrams, Robustness Checklists(RCL), FMEA, FMEM, etc.

·         Experience utilizing Statistical methods such as, Tolerance
Stackup, Monte-Carlo, etc., for sensor and diagnostic
tolerance/Robustness/Sensitivity analysis.

·         Experience with Build, calibration and Model based tools. Ex:
Matlab, Simulink, ASCET, INCA, VISION, CANape, etc.

·         Follow disciplined SW development process using Ford internal SW
development standards and review processes.

·         Create/update control Requirements Documents.

·         Ability to present technical issues for management review, in a
clear and Concise manner.



*Minimum Requirements:*

·         Bachelor’s Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or
Computer Science.

·         2+ years of Diesel Aftertreatment SW development experience

·         Experience with CAN tools – CANalyzer, CANoe and other Vector
hardware Ex: CANcase or VN1610.

·         Experience with INCA, Vision or CANope.

·         Experience using Powertrain Diagnostic tools.

·         Familiarity with various Diesel Aftertreatment SCR/LNT
Architectures.

·         Proficiency in modeling, simulation, and testing techniques

·         Proactive attitude.

·          ‘Can do’ attitude.

·         Willingness to work with a diverse global team.

·         Customer focused.

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Willing to travel abroad occasionally.

*Preferred Requirements:*

·         Knowledge of Bosch Diesel Engine SW.

·         Master’s degree
