*Position: Storage Administrator* *Location: Burbank, CA* *Duration: 6+Months* *Customer: HCL America/ WMG* *Responsibilities : * · Expert in Enterprise-class Storage Hardware from EMC, HDS, Network Appliances (NAS Filer). · Expert of Enterprise-class Fiber Switch/Director Hardware from Cisco, Brocade. · Hands-on Experience with Veritas Volume Manager, Powerpath and LVM. · Expert of monitoring and replication strategies (SRDF) · Familiar with IP Network, WAN and LAN free (SAN) based data backup design and configuration. · Good understanding of OS/Application storage requirements (File System Layout and Databases) · Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning. · Implement and support activity for storage Infrastructure which consists of EMC, Network Appliances, Hitachi Data Systems. · Expert knowledge of system sizing, capacity planning and performance tuning, and storage and area network architecture · Experience with data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape, data replication. · Good subject knowledge of any one operating system (Windows/Unix ) and fair knowledge of other operating systems. · Troubleshooting Hardware problems related to storage devices (different vendors) · Skilled in Configuration of BCV backups and script based backups Snapshots/Clones · In the support capacity the administrator will liaise with other support teams to ensure rapid resolution of production system problems and appropriate communication of progress. *Qualifications: * · BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, Master’s Degree preferred · 7+ years of experience configuring and managing Storage Subsystems · Understanding of enterprise system networks (hardware, software, protocols) · Advanced knowledge of standard System Administration tools and practices · Advanced proficiency in analytical, project planning, negotiating, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral) Thanks & Regards!
