*Summary*
*Research, prepare and develop custom application solutions to address
internal and external stakeholder's critical issues and needs. Make
recommendations on systems, processes, and procedures related to changes
and improvements. Support DIS operations and application issues
encountered by the local business units. Interface with peers in other IT
departments in order to provide application support and testing for
multiple in-house developed software packages that support the client
community. Lead inter-company and inter-departmental committees related to
information technology, information management, and data quality.
Establish and implement processes and procedures to maintain data quality
to reduce errors and costs, improve safety, customer satisfaction, SAIDI,
and CAIDI.*
*Key Roles & Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Directly or
through others, the incumbent:*
** Work collaboratively with these business partners to provide high
quality solutions to clients. Also develop processes and procedures to
improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business.*
** Work with IBM and HCL to maintain and improve data quality and
integrity while working on multiple projects. Data quality reduces errors,
improves customer satisfaction, and reduces costs. Errors impact safety and
outage restoration, and dramatically impact SAIDI and CAIDI. This directly
affects profitability.*
** Develop a deep understanding and knowledge of technology.
Maintain an understanding of changing technology and its impact on lines of
business. Assist others in learning and understanding technology. Take
massive amounts of data and boil it down to the critical components that
others need to know, and then assist them in understanding the material.*
*Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements*
*The minimum education requirements are:*
** Associate's degree in computer science, information systems,
business, engineering, or a related field and/or six years' experience in
project management, the electric utility industry, or computer science
fields. Or, a bachelor's degree in these disciplines and/or four years'
experience in project management, the electric utility industry, or
computer science fields.*
*The minimum experience requirements are:*
** Ten years operations and/or engineering support experience.*
** Knowledge of company operations, policies and procedures.*
*The minimum skill requirements are:*
** Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
SharePoint and Outlook.*
** Advanced knowledge of web authoring, writing HTML and Visual
Basic programming.*
** Advanced knowledge of network architecture and networking
protocols.*
** Advanced knowledge of Oracle, Access, and SQL databases.*
** Well-developed interpersonal skills, and well developed verbal
and written communication skills.*
** Strong team building and collaborative leadership skills to build
consensus solutions*
** Good knowledge and understanding of Information Technology
systems*
** Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.*
** Well-developed skill in problem solving and solution development.*
