*Job Title* Sr. SQL Database Engineer *Project Location* Sterling, VA *Duration* 6 months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI:- Telephonice + Skype* *USC/GC Only * * Duties and Responsibilities include: * - · Technical direction for database design, maintenance and administration - · Standards, procedures and conventions for database use including maintenance and generation of data dictionary for all DBs - · Database security including protection from accidental or intentional loss or damage. Ensures compliance with company and client security compliance requirements and assists with identifying and remedying potential data vulnerabilities. - · Determining file organization, indexing methods, shared-server leverage and security procedures - · Database backup and recovery solutions *Education or Experience: * - · College Degree in related field preferred however relevant experience can be substituted. - · MS Certified DBA (MS SQL 2005/2008 R2/2012 ) or MS Certified Information Technology Specialist (SQL 2005/2008 R2/2012) preferred - · 6-8 years experience as senior DBA at an organization of similar size and complexity with similar responsibilities - · 4-5 years experience with SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 R2 and or 2012.
