*Python Developer Mount Laurel, NJLong-term Contract Required: Onsite interview in South Jersey Job Summary:*As the Python Developer, you would be designing, coding, testing, and analyzing scripting languages (Python), PHP7 software programs, and MySQL/NoSQL databases. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. You would be responsible for scripting server configurations on our clients network IP devices. This position is coding intensive and will require the ability to coordinate well with a team; as well as show personal initiative and take ownership of individual components of the development. *Must Have for the Position:*At least 3 years' experience in real-world Python, Excellent knowledge of Apache and Linux configuration and command line usage Two or more years' systems administration in a Linux environment At least 1-2 years of experience in SQL (MySQL database preferred) and/or NoSQL Proficient with Microsoft Products (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint). Experience using Git or revision control systems Strong interpersonal communication skills - listening, verbal, and written The ability and desire to learn Set best practices for the software development process: coding standards, testing, change management, build automation, release planning, and deployment *Nice to have:* Experience with PHP5 or PHP7 Exposure to Agile Scrum practices, concepts and procedures Experience in the Telecommunications Industry or Access Network technologies Experience working with large data sets (data mining, data analytics, data manipulation and reporting) Scripting experience with PERL Interface with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB or Redis *TEAM OVERVIEW:*This is the Edge Planning group which is responsible for purchasing all of Comcast's CMTS equipment on the HFC side of the business. They are tasked with planning, purchasing, deploying, and making sure the equipment get turned up in a timely manner. Huge responsibility - $300 million yearly budget. This person will be working with another lead developer to script into the CMTS routers to pull information i.e. how many cards, how many configurations were made, etc. They are working to automate this manual process. *TOP SKILLSETS:* 1.)
