*Position : Hadoop developer Location : Atlanta or Dallas Duration : 6+months* Desired Competencies: *Job Description*: • Developing Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, text mining and others • Writing code, completing programming and documentation, and performing testing and debugging of applications • Interacting with data scientists and industry experts to understand data needs • Requires experience working with very large data sets and knowledge of building programs that leverage Hadoop and MPP platforms • Understanding of tools like MapReduce, Sqoop and Flume • Knowledge of Big Data technology and tools with the ability to share ideas among a collaborative team Bachelor’s degree (technical discipline preferred) and at least 8 years of developing software applications.
