The SQL DBA provides technical and data leadership in the research,
experimentation, business analysis and use of systems technology including
infrastructure architecture, integration capabilities and database
management. The Data Infrastructure Architect should understand the system
development life cycle; project management approaches; and requirements,
design, and test techniques. The BI Database Administrator will work
collaboratively with the application and infrastructure teams to ensure the
interoperability and integration of technologies across the technology
stack, including coordination and technical assistance to facilitate
specific development projects that involve the computing environment, the
coordination of software upgrades and the installation of new products.



*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*

·         Provide key technical consulting and advisory services to IT and
project teams to ensure that solutions are in line with the architecture
direction and business strategies as well as meets or exceed current
company standards and industry best practices.

·         Develops data system infrastructure solutions by defining
hardware and software requirements to meet company policies and
specifications for security, back-up, and recovery.

·         Install and configure database systems; applying optimum access
techniques; coordinating installation actions; documents actions.

·         Maintains database performance by identifying potential problem
areas and recommendations for resolving the issue; calculating optimum
configurations changes for evolving data systems; evaluating impact of new
releases on current data systems infrastructure and configuration.

·         Provides database support by recommending coding utilities and
techniques, as well as proving assistance in resolving problems.

·         Provide on-call advice and assistance for production support
issues.

·         Create, maintain and execute processes for deploying code to
production environments that adhere to established policies and procedures
and well as industry best practices.

·         Updates job knowledge by participating in educational
opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal
networks; participating in professional organizations.

·         Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies
and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed,
especially regarding future business expansion.

·         Inform, train and mentor team members on current and upcoming
trends and technologies



*Education:*

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience,
MS Certifications a plus



*Experience:*

7- 10 years of IT experience in Systems Management and Design of Enterprise
Data Warehouse environments, Data Maintenance, Database Security, Data
Warehouse Performance Management
