Position: Business Analyst Location: Austin, TX Duration: 1 year + renewals A. Work with employees from ENV and Technology Services Division (TSD) to analyze current processes for each ENV program area. B. Perform technical and business impact analysis during requirements gathering and modeling. C. Extracting requirements from environmental legislation and ENV employees to ensure knowledge transfer for application development. D Maintain bug and issues tracking and version control throughout project lifecycle. E. Documentation including: technical writing, status reports, visual models, and end user training materials. F. Interface with clinets business and technical personnel regarding the project. G. Provide knowledge transfer to technical personnel to ensure seamless transition for application maintenance. H. Perform other related services as assigned by the project manager. Minimum Requirements: years Skills/Experience 4 Experience preparing and documenting functional and technical specifications for translation to application design and development. 4 Experience working with end users documenting, analyzing, and gathering business requirements for enterprise web-based applications. 4 Verbal and written communications skills including training and project documentation skills. 4 Capturing, documenting, and implementing functional business requirements. 4 Experience using the MS Office Suite and Windows XP OS and/or Windows 7 OS. 3 Ability to communicate and transfer knowledge to business and technical personnel. 3 Experience using a visual business process modeling tools such as EA/ Studio, MS Visio, or other. 2 Familiarity with relational database and client-server concepts. Preferences: Years Skills/Experience 3 Experience performing business analysis for environmental government agencies. 2 Experience creating customer training manuals and hosting classroom training sessions.
