A. Install Oracle
B. Perform upgrades
C. Take database backups
D. Tune servers for performance
I. Model databases based on a logical data structure
created in conjunction with our Data Architects
II. Create the physical data models
III. Create tables, columns, etc. in support of Data
Warehouse initiatives, i.e., our new Enterprise Data Model
IV. Work alongside Java, ETL and BI developers to tune COTS
and custom SQL for performance improvements
V. Create scripts to resolve data quality issues
VI. Use AWR reports to help troubleshoot database issues
VII. Handle data load and other Tier 2/3 production support
issues.
*Education*
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field; or equivalent
education and related training
*Experience/Skills:*
· Database Design
· Database Modeling
· SQL, PL/SQL
· SQL, PL/SQL tuning for performance
· Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple
disciplines/processes. Typically possesses 5 to 7 years of relevant work
experience.
*Nice to have:*
· Experience in a data warehousing environment
· XML
· Exadata
