Background of a senior Hadoop developer with data transformation design experience 2. Performance tuning and guiding development of enterprise ETLs residing on a MapR Hadoop Distribution. 3. Well versed in Big Data fundamentals such as HDFS and YARN. 4. More than a working knowledge of Hive is required with understanding of partitioning/reducer size/block sizing/etc. 5. Preferably, the candidate has a strong knowledge of Spark on either Python or Scala. 6. Knowledge of other industry ETL tools (including No SQL) such Cassandra/Drill/Impala/etc. is a plus. 7. The candidate should be comfortable with Unix and standard enterprise environment tools/tech such as ftp/scp/ssh/Java/Python/etc. 8. Proficiency in any of these utilities is plus - Utilities such as Informatica BDE, Pentaho, Mule, Talend, 9. Code review, performance tuning of No SQL queries , 10. Coordinate and review Pre-production activities 11. Strong communication skills - verbal and written for both internal and external relationships. 12.
