This environment consists of approximately 200 central Solaris / AIX / Red Hat Linux / Win2K / VMWare ESX servers.These servers run a variety of software including Veritas Suite, Apache, WebSphere, Siteminder,SonicMQ, LDAP. These servers serve over 20 investment management applications developed in house and used by hundreds of institutional investors worldwide daily. New system software and middleware deployments are typically done 3 to 6 times per month. Performs program design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation. Responsible for apps dealing with the overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines and large telecom networks. Full technical knowledge of all phases of software systems programming apps. Instructs, directs and checks the work of other systems programmers. Evaluates new and existing software products.
