*Job Title: QA Engineer* *Location: Ft. Worth, TX (Preferred Locals)* *Duration : 6+ months* *Rate : $40/hr on C2C* *Basic Responsibilities * Define and build test environment/sand box to simulate production environment Define and implement initial set of repeatable test scenarios for Integration, Regression and User Acceptance Testing Define and implement defect tracking/resolution process, tools and metrics Test system modifications to prepare for implementation Build and perform Integration and Regression Tests Define and assist with User Acceptance Testing Provide technical support during software installation or configuration Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, completeness Conduct historical analysis of test results Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers Monitor bug resolution efforts and track progress Insure programs meet BNSF development standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, GUI, or content Install and configure recreations of software production environments to allow testing of software performance Investigate customer problems/production issues Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality Collaborate with business users and technical teams to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions Ensure Compliance with Established Methodologies *Basic Qualifications * Testing of ILOG JRules application Ability to work with large volumes of data Strong communications/interpersonal/organizational skills a must Self-motivated, self-directed and independent thinking, yet team player Proven ability to build strong partnerships with technical and business partners Testing of Java Client applications in multi-tier environment.
