*Job Description*

·         Work with the Xeon validation team located in Columbia, South
Carolina on full-chip validation. Activities would include:

·         Develop and/or debug functional validation tests to verify system
will meet Intel specifications.

·         Create test plans for RTL validation, defining and running system
emulation models, and finding and implementing corrective measures for
failing tests.

·         Analyzes and uses results to modify testing to find solutions –
either RTL bug fixes, software/firmware workarounds, or documented errata.



*Job Responsibilities Include:*

·         Write verification test plans, and associated tests to execute
those plans.

·         Debug failing tests, then work with designers and architects to
resolve bugs.

·         Successful Validation Engineers can anticipate failure modes, and
write punishing test content to stress the design and identify bugs.

·         Analyze coverage gaps and devise strategies to fill coverage
holes.

*Qualifications*
Must have a Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

·         Minimum of 4 to max 15 years’ experience in Post-Si Validation

·         Minimum of 4 to Max 15 years’ experience with computer
architecture and micro-architecture (Intel x86 core architecture and SW
architecture experience a must)

·         Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience with Syntetic Test environments

·         Experience with Linux operating system

·         Experience with HW emulation

·         Experience with software design and coding

·         Familiarity with x86 assembly language

·         Familiarity with standard CPU interface protocols (ex: DDR, PCIe,
etc.)
