Client: Johnson Controls Position: BACnet Engineer Location: Milwaukee, WI Contract: 1 year contract Technology: They must have BACnet experience RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: This position involves performing software engineering work requiring application of standard or well-defined techniques and procedures. The incumbent will be expected to design, develop, and verify real time applications that use network communications utilizing technologies such as RS232, RS485, TCP/IP and wireless; experience with BACnet, Modbus, or LON would be a distinct advantage. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: 1. Designs assigned embedded software products and/or components in a timely and effective manner to ensure quality and cost objectives are met. 2. Collects, analyzes and interprets data to design and develop engineering computer programs and software components along with appropriate testing frameworks. 3. Performs accurate analysis of product performance, making appropriate recommendations as needed improve product quality. 4. Develops engineering computer programs designed to increase the efficiency of engineering work. 5. Participates as a member of a project team to ensure projects are completed according to schedule. 6. Maintains a current knowledge of all factors and conditions which may affect engineering work. 7. Other duties may be assigned. *Qualifications* 1. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combined education and experience. 2. Able to program with one or more languages (C, C++, C#, Java); 3. Some experience in the electronics/controls software development within the HVAC industry experience considered a plus. 4. Exposure to software development methodologies with Scrum/Agile considered a plus. 5. Exposure to embedded Operating Systems (Windows, Linux), considered a plus. 6. Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software. 7. Strong interpersonal skills and decision making ability. 8. Effective and professional communication and organization skills. 9.
