We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for a Contract to Hire role
in beautiful rural Wisconsin.  Live in the relaxed countryside and work at
a leading edge company  easily within distance of Madison for your
"city-fix".



In this role, our DevOps Engineer works closely with various development
teams on successful deployment from testing environments through to
Production, the design & implementation of appropriate Production
monitoring/alerting solutions, as well as investigation/analysis of
infrastructure initiatives & issues. We support our Apache/Tomcat webserver
environments and are responsible for achieving and maintaining high
availability of our systems 24x7.



The successful candidate for this seasoned position will have 7-10 years of
experience, enjoy problem solving, troubleshooting and investigation in
cross-functional environments, take responsibility for issues, be highly
motivated to learn and enjoy working on a high energy team in a very
collaborative environment.



*REQUIRED SKILLS:*

Extensive experience with Linux and/or Unix

Java, Shell and/or Perl scripting

Demonstrated experience with Tomcat, Apache

Use of version control software, such as Subversion, Git, etc.

Demonstrated work in an agile development environment, utilizing continuous
integration/deployment practices

Knowledge of HTTP, HTML, browser debugging techniques and web technologies



*DESIRED SKILLS:*

Experience with website and application monitoring/alerting packages,
DynaTrace preferred

Experience with Java programming & debugging

Experience with SQL, preferably with Oracle

Experience with automated software deployment apps such as Puppet, Chef,
Ansible,

Experience with VMWare-hosted architectures

Some familiarity with web technologies such as load balancers, firewalls,
DNS, web security  policies and methods, caching techniques

Exposure to job/task scheduling packages, especially Opswise is a plus.
