Linux Engineer
Location: Southglenn CO-Locals to CO
Employment type: Contract

POSITION SUMMARY: Effectively support the EPS Corporate Engineering team
that owns enterprise-level advertising platforms and services. Work with
the engineering team to create workflows, media solutions, and test newly
released products in the lab. Would be responsible to build and support lab
systems and networking environments.
POSITION DURATION/LOCATION: Position would be active through the end of
2016 with a likelihood of extension. Office location is at the Comcast Dry
Creek Facility, 4100 East Dry Creek Road, Centennial, CO.
QUALIFICATIONS. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed
below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

•             Basic computer and server knowledge.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties

•             Train on Invidi Systems, Aspera, Arris, EMC/Isilon, and
various internal solutions
•             Linux configuration and troubleshooting, TCP networking
•             Assist engineers with basic programming and shell scripting.
Be teachable.
•             Some database and ASP programming to assist in web-tool
development
•             Communicate with project managers and local technical support
resources

Python Developer / Software Engineer w/Scripting
Job Location: Mount Laurel, NJ
Employment Type: Contract
Scope:
We have an open contract need until EOY (possibly into 2017).  Advanced
Engineer level III with at least 5 years of software development experience
in Python and scripting languages such as: Go, Perl, Ruby and Node.JS.
Will be part of a Software Development tools team that supports overall
Change Management processes and customer changes to the network.  This is
an agile team with a lot of daily interaction, stand-ups and scrum sessions
with 2 week sprint cycles.  Candidate must have strong
interpersonal/communication skills and be able to interact with Project
leads and technical/non-technical personnel on a daily basis.  This is NOT
just a heads-down coding role.
Database skills in MySQL, Cassandra preferred and helpful but not
required.  Understanding of Network concepts and terms as well as change
management processes helpful and preferred but not required.
Skills:
•             5 years Software development experience in Python
•             Advanced scripting background in: Go, Perl, Ruby or Node.JS
(or combination of scripting languages)
•             Agile work experience
•             Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bonus Skills:
•             MySQL or Cassandra
•             Kafka
•             Understanding of Network concepts and terms as well as change
management processes
Type of Assignment: Contract through EOY, possibly extended due to backlog
of work.
Interview Process: 30 min phone screen followed by a F2F (required).  Will
run through coding exercises and possible white boarding during onsite
interview.

experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of standard
concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on
limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a
variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of
creativity and latitude required. Typically reports to a project leader or
manager.
