Hello, In fact, no real due date at the moment. The last tests show that there is still a little bit of work to do. For info, here is a summary of the previous enhancements. During the last weeks, the effort was focused on the Yasr environment and the audio menu. The future Oralux release will also benefit from the Emacspeak patches by Igor B. Poretsky. Midnight Commander, a powerful file browser, is customized to have a better rendering via a braille display or a screen reader. The resulting software is named mcvox. mcvox is configured so that it can automatically convert some formats to raw text: Word files, Open office files, power points and more or less the Excel files. A few features have been added to Yasr and Mike Gorse kindly taken them in account: - the user can now restart the voice synthesizer if it stops talking. - Word echo: when the user is typing, only the complete word is said. There was a crash when 0.6 alpha launched Yasr and the minimenu altogether. And we had to launch Yasr again a second or a third time. There is now a workaround for this issue. Cicero TTS in french, by Nicholas Pitre and Stephane Doyon, is embedded. A speech server has been written so that this voice synthesizer works using Emacspeak or Yasr. GNU Screen has been modified so that the list of windows is better rendered via a screen reader or a braille display. The audio menu now relies on Yasr to set up for example the internet connection. An external program such as pppconfig (dial out set up) must be called and Yasr renders the program output. At the end, the audio menu asks if the user wants to save his configuration and then call saveconfig. Saveconfig now uses dialog-oralux: the dialog software rewritten in PHP and which aims to be better rendered via braille or voice. Le menu audio utilise maintenant Yasr pour la configuration de la liaison série. Par exemple, pour prononcer ce qu'affiche pppconfig lors de la configuration du modem série. A la fin du menu audio, avant de demander si l'utilisateur souhaite arrêter ou rebooter son pc, on demande maintenant s'il souhaite sauvegarder ses préférences, et saveconfig est lancé. L'interface de saveconfig a été revue et est basée sur dialog-oralux, une version de dialog écrite en PHP et qui a surtout pour but d'être mieux rendu vocalement.
