Sometimes it can be helpful to add its identifier to the alsa cheatcode.
For example, using a sound blaster, it could be:
knoppix alsa=emu10k1

In the alsa-project website, the trident driver is indicated for the
SIS7018 sound chip.
So at boot time, the line to type would be:
knoppix alsa=trident
The keyboard at this stage is supposed to be a qwerty one.
