Hi,
Hardware speech is a requirement for Slackware installation.
Alternatively, you can use the installation program's SSH option to continue
the install that way. It's a little hard to get to it, though, so hardware
speech is probably the best option.

Actually, this isn't quite accurate. It is possible to install most of
the popular Linux distributions nowadays if you're visually impaired.
Debian, Fedora, Slackware, Gentoo, Ubuntu, etc etc.
