[Oralux] speech dispatcher on boot?

Why is it that when I load the oralux cd and start the computer all I get is a beep, the boot prompt and then a screen full of my machine's specifications and it always hangs when booting/loading speech dispatcher? Is there a workaround for this?t hanks in advance. J. T. Laurie Watcher of the

Hello, If the process hangs during hardware detection, you could try at boot time (the first beep): knoppix noapic acpi=off As you may know, Oralux is no more developed. If you meet issues with 0.7 alpha it might be worth to try a more recent distro with speech feedback. For info, the expected
