As to promoting orchids and the orchid societies in my area, one of
the things I have done in the past was to keep a few information cards
about my local orchid society in my wallet so I could offer one to
someone, if I was in Home Depot, Lowes, etc., when saw them looking

Stepping aside from the largely lamented lumping of Laeliinae of late,
I am curious to know what happened to Servo, the bagasse based mix
for potting orchids that had a brief, popular run some years ago.
It was compounded of sugarcane bagasse, hardwood charcoal and
styrofoam

The way I was always treated by other growers in Florida when I
wanted some pollen was, that if seedlings were produced, the pollen
provider would get either a flask or two or a dozen or so seedlings in
say, 3 pots later on.
Basically just like 'pick of the litter' when breeding dogs, etc.

Perhaps it is a pending registration, so iIf there is a way to contact
the hybrids registrar they might be able to solve your riddle.
Or if the hybridizer can be determined that could be a route to explore.
