Totally agree. Life happens good/bad and sometimes organizers (and performers
also!) need/want to swap things. Being transparent often leads to good results.

In Philadelphia the Mt Airy Contra dance has no shortage of 20-30ish year old
dancers. The attendance varies between 40-60 dancers every other week
(pre-pandemic we were weekly) and our age demographic has dropped 20-25 years!

Hi All:Sorry for the late notice. Mt Airy Contra in Philadelphia has been
hosting virtual dances for all and socials for our local folks since April.
Tonight we have Phil Jamison who at 8 pm (eastern) will present his book
“Hoedowns, Reels, and Frolics: Roots and Branches of Southern
I don't know if Peter Blue is on any of these lists, but years ago he did a
workshop on Crooked Dances to Crooked Tunes and worked closely with a band to
create that repertoire. I'm fairly certain he used Quebecois tunes.
