We are booking local callers and bands for Sept-Dec in Kalamazoo MI. We
stipulate this is dependent on COVID and community spread risk.

notice the few bits of information that is available. I am hesitant to approve
out of towners unless I personally know them to be traveling dancers.

terms of gender neutral. I'm hoping to learn the best way to call in this
fashion and I think I can transition the community with better success and
attitude doing it this way.

What I hear from my local community (I'm an organizer in other neighboring
communities as well) is they would be confused by that sort of change to a
traditional dance. And, no one is asking for it. If we were to transition non
bird references would be further explored.
